How Much Does it Cost to Install Windows?
At Choice Roofing Group, we get asked a lot about windows and the price of windows! These are some of the common questions many of our customers have concerning the cost of windows:
- How much do new windows cost?
- How much will it cost to repair my windows?
- What are the most energy efficient windows for my home?
- What types of affordable windows do you offer?
There are a lot of factors to consider when pricing and budgeting for windows. While there are certain standard sizes in which most windows are typically constructed, you do have the option to choose custom windows to achieve a desired look. Where you live can also play a major role. In the north, it’s advisable to consider double-paned or triple-paned windows to better insulate your home. You also want to consider how the windows will look from outside your home, particularly in areas that will be facing neighbors or busy roads. And the interior space of your home is essential as well, as some types of windows require quite a bit of space to open and close. Whatever type of window you may be considering, Choice Roofing Group offers affordable window prices without sacrificing quality.
Average Home Window Installation Prices:
How much does it cost to install architectural windows :
Architectural windows are a wonderful window option for homeowners and business owners looking to add a dramatic view or an abundance of natural light to their home or office. Giving architectural window pricing is tough, because it seems like no two architectural windows are the same. There’s a large difference in size, scope, and complexity with each various installation. For a fairly small-scale residential architectural window, a budget of $1000 or more per window can be expected. That can increase dramatically for larger commercial installations, where architectural windows can be installed from floor to ceiling. To get a more accurate cost for architectural window installation, a Choice Roofing Group expert will be thrilled to meet you at your property. We can then take accurate measurements and provide you with a reliable estimate that will be both competitive and detailed.
How much does it cost to install casement windows :
Choice Roofing Group is a leading installer of casement windows for residential homeowners, and you’ll find our affordable casement windows easy on the eyes and the budget! Casement windows function much like doors, swinging open via a side hinge, allowing fresh air and either warmth or cold into your home as desired. On average, we install a basic casement window for our customers for between $350 and $500. This is a good number to use when considering the size of a standard living room window, which can vary anywhere from a 3’ x 4’ window to a 6’ x 6’ window. If the window is larger than a 6’ x 6’ model, it’s best to have a professional estimate done in-person. Often, larger windows are a custom order and can be more expensive than what is outlined here. No matter what size window, you can rest assured Choice Roofing Group can handle the project. Our window contractors have years of experience, and we’ll make sure your window is installed and sealed properly to maximize the energy efficiency of your home.
How much does it cost to install awning windows :
Awning windows are similar to casement windows, but do vary in a couple of key ways. First, rather than having hinges on the side, an awning window will open and close with the use of hinges on the top or bottom. Also, whereas casement windows are usually installed in a “vertical” position, awning windows are often wider than they are high. For some basic awning window pricing guidelines, budget anywhere from $400 to $1000 for an awning window install. The low end awning window price would cover a fairly small (3’ x 4’) window with basic features such as a fiberglass frame and a single pane of glass. For windows made of stronger materials, larger, and/or double-paned and triple-paned, expect to spend about $1000 per window on average. These windows may cost more, but provide the added benefit of longer warranties and better energy efficiency for your home. Whatever the type of awning window you choose to install, you will find our affordable awning window prices to be extremely competitive compared to other window companies. When you add the fact that we offer some of the best products on the market installed by our window experts, we think the choice becomes clear.
How much does it cost to install bay windows :
When looking to add natural light and some extra space to your home, consider installing bay windows. This is typically a group of 3 windows that extend from an exterior wall of your home that let in massive amounts of natural light. On average, Choice Roofing Group will install a set of 3 standard bay windows (roughly 3 feet 6 inches wide) for between $1200 to $2500, depending on the size and complexity of the windows. We can also install large-scale floor to ceiling bay windows, which typically cost anywhere from $2500 to $7500. Angled bay windows are the most common type of bay windows installed by our team, typically with the end windows turning back towards the home at either a 30 or 45 degree angle. There are, of course, other types of bay windows, including box bay windows, which extend from the home at 90 degree angles. In fact, a garden window could even be considered a type of bay window – albeit on a much smaller scale. How much does it cost of bow windows :
Bow windows are very similar to bay windows, except a bow window is typically comprised of either 4 or 5 windows of the same size side-by-side in either a rounded or polygonal shape. As you would expect, bow windows do run a little more than bay windows because of their larger size, increased material cost, and additional labor expense. For a bow window comprised of 5 standard size windows (3 feet 6 inches wide), expect to pay between $1500 to $3500. This price goes up the larger and more complex the installation is. We work hard to provide affordable bow windows that look great and last for many years. We also provide expert installation that will allow you to take advantage of the energy saving benefits of today’s modern window technology. If you’re replacing windows that are 10 years or older, you are almost certain to see a decrease in your home’s energy costs due to windows that are now better insulated and provide a tighter barrier against the exterior weather. How much does it cost to install double hung windows:
Double hung windows are of particular value because of their economical pricing and flexibility. A double hung window is actually two windows in one – an upper and lower window, each of which can either slide past the other or open independently. These are perhaps the most common type of window installed in homes today in the U.S. Double hung windows can be made of vinyl, aluminum, wood, and several other materials. On average, we can install a standard vinyl double hung window for between $400 to $600, an aluminum double hung window for $550 to $750, and a custom wood double hung window for around $750 to $1000. These prices will vary depending on the size of your window and the number of windows you need installed, but that’s a good starting point to use per window. If you live in the north, you may want to consider double or even triple-paned windows to better insulate your home from the cold weather outdoors, which will add some cost to the windows. This will be better for your wallet in the long run, however, saving you up to 20 percent more than standard single paned windows. For a free double hung window estimate, we invite you to call or email our company and let us help you take the first step towards new windows for your home.
How much does it cost to install sliding windows:
Sliding windows are particularly beneficial to customers who own homes or have specific rooms where space is at a premium. Because they slide rather than swing, these space-saving windows are perfect for kitchens, small bathrooms, or any other room where you want to preserve room. Choice Roofing Group offers expert installation of all types of sliding windows, and we would love to help with your sliding window installation. For a standard sliding window, such as one for a kitchen or bathroom, you can expect to spend between $275 and $450 per window, on average. Sliding windows can come in many sizes, and are typically built out of either vinyl, aluminum, fiberglass, or wood. At Choice Roofing Group, we install sliding windows that are energy efficient, and also come with quality hardware that make opening and closing the windows an easy task. We stay away from cheap windows – these typically have cheap components that can break easily and cause a great amount of frustration. We offer affordable sliding windows that are dependable and installed by professional window contractors so you can rest assured you won’t have any issues down the road.
How much does it cost to install garden windows:
Garden windows look similar to bay windows, but are very often built at 90 degree angles, and are constructed on a much smaller scale than most residential bay windows. Traditionally, garden windows are placed above kitchen sinks, where small potted plants can be placed to gather sunlight and grow, adding a touch of beauty to your home. You may also know them as greenhouse windows or box windows. For a basic small garden window that is 36” x 36”, expect to pay between $500 and $800 to have the window installed. For larger garden windows, a price of $1000 or more is typical. While you do want your garden window in an area where it will be exposed to sunlight if you desire to grow anything, opting for windows with a Low-E rating may be preferable. These windows, while adding roughly 10-15% in initial cost, will reduce heat transfer and keep your kitchen area cool while still allowing sunlight to reach your greenery. Due to reduced cooling costs associated with this, you can recoup the additional cost of Low-E windows in just months.
